Mookgophong Gospel comedian Multi B expressed that he was excited that the accolade for Africa’s Best Gospel Comedian was brought home.

The award was won by Venda born comedian Mukovhe Peter Magwedze, popularly known as “Almost Famous” Mr Majo in the entertainment industry.

The 2019 Africa Gospel Awards Festival (AGAFEST) was held in the Accra capital city of Ghana on Saturday 30 March.

Born Hendrick Moreroa, Multi B attended the awards in the company of homeboy and fellow comedian Mr Majo.

“Prior to the big announcement, I was praying that the award comes to South Africa. It did not matter who takes it home, the most important thing was to make the country proud,” he said.

Multi B said after attending the awards festival, he had reason to believe many doors would open up.

The Mookgophong-born comedian was billed to perform at the Give It Up Gospel Street Jam, to be held in Ghana later this year.

“The support in Ghana was massive. I was welcomed like a king, and also got to share my craft with the world through radio and television interviews,” he said.

Multi B appears on Greater Works with Minister Harry every Sunday at 19:30 on 1 Gospel (channel 331), and also on TBN (channel 343) every Friday at 14:00.
