Officials and players from the Giyani-based team was on the way back from a fixture in Groblersdal against Ditlou FC when their bus caught fire.

At the time Sebola had just completed his exams, and was headed back to Giyani to re-join the returning team from the ABC Motsepe League fixture, when he heard about the accident.

The young player re-routed back home.

Ndengeza management on Friday 14 November released a statement to the effect that the entourage was involved in the accident on the R37 between Mashishing and Polokwane.

“We do advise that the entire team managed to escape the fire,” the statement explained.

Many of the players were treated and discharged from Polokwane Hospital.
