The three Limpopo teams campaigning in the Absa Premiership go into the next fixtures on shaky ground.

It has been a downward spiral for especially early-season pacesetters, Polokwane City FC, a team which has tumbled from the top eight into a lowly number 14 on the league log standings.

The relegation axe is hovering!

Polokwane City FC’s next fixture is only next Saturday 21 December, away to reigning Caf Champions League title-holders, Mamelodi Sundowns FC.

Last weekend Polokwane City succumbed 1-0 to Maritzburg United FC.

Thohoyandou Black Leopards FC, which moved to number 10 on the standings, also have an away date with Orlando Pirates FC on the same day.

Baroka FC (12), which continues to struggle with a 2-all draw against Orlando Pirates last weekend, will host Stellenbosch FC, also on Saturday.

The Absa Premiership has lined up fixtures midweek, with Bidvest Wits hosting Mamelodi Sundowns FC, and Mamelodi Sundowns FC hosting Stellenbosch FC.

The other midweek fixture is between hosts Golden Arrows FC and Bidvest Wits FC.
