The funniest reactions to Tino and Simz’ break-up

Fans refuse to accept that Tino and Simz have broken up and have even gone as far as begging them to get back together.

The end of a relationship is often not a laughing matter.

However, celebrity couple Tino and Simz are adamant about maintaining good vibes all around when it comes to the end of their love story.

The actress and her model beau shocked social media when they announced that they would no longer be lovers and would, instead, continue to co-parent their son without being romantically involved.

“An end to a beautiful love story. This has been one of my greatest experiences, a beautiful love story of two people fighting all the odds to be together. I have learnt to love again, to feel again, to live again and to smile again,” wrote Simphiwe “Simz” Ngema in a caption under an Instagram photo of herself and Tino Chinyani looking very much in love.

“No tears here, just lessons learnt and beautiful memories. I really had a beautiful fun weekend,” she added before “toasting” to “friendship and dope ass co-parenting”.

The post about Tino and Simz’ break-up received over 160,000 likes and over 4,000 comments on Simz profile, mainly from people who did not understand what they were looking at.

“Honestly I liked before reading the caption! It’s the first line that messed me up. Argh,” commented South African musician Simmy.

“This is the most confusing caption I’ve ever read,” added Instagram user @given_kmakh_exec.

“Watch South African women now booking ‘break-up’ weekends away and making lyrical break-up posts. Akant [sic] with this generation,” said @eclairbear0209.

Asinzima isilungu ngo2021 I yooh ndiconfused,” commented simzlavisto. The comment translates to: “English is difficult in 2021, wow! I’m confused.” That comment alone got over 700 likes, presumably from people who agree.

Another user who shared a similar sentiment was @precious_mathenjwa, who commented: “Awubhale ngesiZulu mhlampe sizozwa ukuthi uthini ngoba asizwa ngempela“, meaning “please write your caption in isZulu, maybe we will understand you better because we currently do not understand”.

“Frame 1 and caption are not together mos, my confusion is a bit confused,” commented @mammiemaggie.

The comments section under Tino’s posts weren’t any better. Although he posted a solo shot taken while on his birthday vacation, almost every comment under the photo was about the couple.

“Congratulations on your engagement guys,” said @official_hlubikazi_zamankala.

@ladyveeex said “Did you guys really break up or it’s just a prank???? Cz [sic] wow andikho happy [I’m not happy].”

@ndikh_o said: “Tino my sangoma says you and Simz are destined to be together, so please stop the nonsense and fix things.”
