Mabena on Twitter said the incident happened on Roger Dyason Road, towards the Fountains Valley Resort, on Tuesday evening, Rekord East reported.

“Just experienced a smash & grab. Be vigilant out there,” he tweeted.

In another tweet, Mabena said: “I didn’t see them coming. Just heard a loud crash of my window being smashed, and that was it!”

According to Lyttelton police spokesperson Warrant Officer Hero Gumbu, a camera was taken when Mabena stopped at a robot.

“He said a man came to his window and smashed it. The man fled with his Canon camera. A struggle ensued between the two as the man tried to take Mabena’s phone but failed,” Gumbu said.

This after South African model Lee-Ann Liebenberg and her family were allegedly robbed by three armed men in the driveway of her Sandton home on Tuesday afternoon.

Liebenberg tweeted she and her family were followed home from a Hyde Park shopping centre and held up in their driveway by three armed. No one was hurt during the incident. Gauteng police spokesperson Lieutenant Lungelo Dlamini said it was still unclear if the incident had been reported to police.

“At this stage we are not sure where the case was reported,” he said.
