Broadacres Academy welcomed the community with an energetic Open Day event that aligned with the inaugural Chartwell Market to create a vibrant and bustling atmosphere for all attendees on September 14.
The event was an incredible success, uniting learners, teachers, parents, and community members in a joyous celebration of the school’s values and the lively local neighbourhood.

Parents and prospective learners were provided with an opportunity to explore the beautiful Broadacres campus, meet the passionate teaching staff, and discover the unique learning approach that sets the academy apart.
Visitors were taken on guided tours, offering a glimpse into the spacious classrooms, interactive learning environments, and outdoor spaces where learners thrive in an atmosphere of inquiry-based education.
Vashni Chetty, the head of the high school expressed her delight at the turnout, saying, “It’s always wonderful to open our doors and show people the heart of our school. We’re very proud of our commitment to holistic education, and it’s a pleasure to share this with new families.”
As the school showcased its progressive curriculum, which focuses on fostering creativity, independence, and critical thinking in learners, the adjacent Chartwell Market was bustling with activity.

This inaugural market featured a variety of local vendors offering everything from fresh produce and artisanal foods to handmade crafts and gifts. It was a delightful addition to the day’s events, creating a warm, community-oriented atmosphere where families could shop, eat, and enjoy the sunshine.
Children were entertained with a range of activities, including face painting, pony rides, and a bouncy castle, ensuring that the day was as enjoyable for the youngest members of the community as it was for adults.
