More entertainment in the Kia Sportage
The Kia Sportage made its first appearance at the 1991 Tokyo Motor Show and since has become the Korean manufacturer’s most successful model.
Now in its fourth generation, the Sportage has received a new update in the form of a new infotainment system. The new system which consists of an 8.0-inch touchscreen with an integrated reverse camera is available in the Ignite and Ignite Plus derivatives. The system which is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible will also be able to be retrofitted to Ignite and Ignite Plus derivatives that did not come with the system. Should owners opt to retrofit the system to their vehicles, they can expect to pay R6 325, which includes VAT and fitment. The upgrade can be made at any of Kia Motors South Africa dealerships.

In addition to the upgraded infotainment system, Kia is adding value to its Sportage range with a six-month ‘payment holiday’ currently on offer. This allows customers to structure a payment plan which sees them only having to pay the first instalment six-months after taking ownership of the vehicle. Other financing structures can be tailored to the customer’s needs. “We want to give our customers more options when it comes to vehicle payments, as everyone has different financial needs. This way we can work with new Sportage owners to shape a repayment plan that best suits their budget,” Gary Scott, CEO, Kia Motors South Africa.
Warranty
The Kia Sportage comes with a five-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty as well as a five-year/90 000km service plan and five-years of roadside assistance.
