CELEBRATE Human Rights Day by remembering animal rights. Join the Kloof and Highway SPCA on Tuesday, March 21, at 16:00 for a 5km or 10 km trail run/walk in the beautiful surrounds of Giba Gorge MTB Park. The event is sponsored by the packing company, Dalgen Packaging.

The Dalgen Packaging Kloof and Highway SPCA event is a beautiful way to end a relaxing public holiday. The public is welcome to bring their dogs on leads, and there will be a water table for the 10km.

Erika Velissariou and Gina urge the public to support their trail run/walk on Tuesday, March 21.

“If it is a humid day, then camelbacks [backpacks with water bottles] will be advisable. After the event, there will be a short prize-giving, and then we would love you to stay and support The Giba Café and Pizzeria,” said SPCA’s Brigitte Ferguson.

Enter online on www.naat.co.za or from 15:00 on the day.

“Giba Gorge has kindly wavered the gate entrance fee. We look forward to seeing you and to every single person. We not only value your support but need your support,” said Ferguson.

Sanelisiwe Tsinde

My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
