EDEN PARK – The MMC for water and energy, Doctor Xhakaza, promised the peaceful marchers that a response could be issued within seven days.
Residents of Ward 53 feel that their ward councillor does not act in their best interests. It has been alleged by residents that only ward committee member receive benefits like work opportunities and housing, and that other residents are sworn at when they visit the councillor’s office at times.
Residents are also not satisfied with the general condition of the ward.
