Katlehong Police arrested a man (36)

Katlehong SAPS, on September 3, arrested a 36-year-old man in Germiston for attempted murder.

Communication official at Katlehong SAPS Capt Mega Ndobe confirmed the news.

“It is alleged a suspect was at Silumaview that day driving a taxi, when he had an argument with young boys on the street for unknown reasons. After the argument, the suspect followed the boys to a shack in Silumaview where he shot them. One of the boys (19) was shot in the leg,” Ndobe said.

He said Katlehong Crime Prevention members’ investigation led them to Germiston where a suspect was arrested.

“His licensed firearm – a 9mm pistol – was seized for further investigation,” said Ndobe.

The suspect is expected to appear in Palm Ridge Court soon and will be charged with attempted murder.
