Crash on R554, Heidelberg Road leaves two dead and 11 injured
The deceased were declared dead on the scene and the casualties were transported to various hospitals in Ekurhuleni.
A minibus taxi and an articulating truck were involved in a gruesome crash on January 21 at the intersection of the R554 and Heidelberg Road.
Two passengers in the taxi lost their lives and 11 others were hospitalised with injuries.
The driver of the truck escaped the crash with minimal injuries.

Emergency services rescue teams responded to the call around 4am and on their arrival three patients were still trapped in the wreck of the taxi and one passenger sitting in the front was found to have died.
A second patient died while the teams attempted to cut out the trapped patients.
Ambulances from the municipality and private services transported the casualties to various hospitals around the city.
