As the joyous season of Christmas approaches, many families will be re-uniting with their loved ones, friends, relatives, and extended members of their families to celebrate and share this joyous season of uniting with their loved ones.
However, in a joyous mood, here are a few tips you can follow to avoid being a victim of thieves, scammers, bank card snatchers and note the following;
-Never withdraw large amounts of money in the ATMs.
-Avoid carrying too much money.
-If one is using a bank app, he/she should consider making lower limits.
-If one is expecting pension or RAF pay-outs, don’t share such information with anyone.
-When one visits malls or shopping centres, one shouldn’t leave his/her purse at the entrance unattended.
-One shouldn’t leave personal documents like your (ID, bank cards, etc) with strangers.
-Also, one should avoid picking up the stacks of folded money. it’s a fake money, and it’s scam.
-Avoid purchasing valuable assets like houses or cars online.
-When sending money on money markets, try by all means to hide when punching a pin code on those speed points.
-The pin shouldn’t be shared with anyone except the intended recipient.
-Never share your personal particulars over the phone with someone pretending to be a bank consultant.
-Rather visit a bank if you want clarity on certain things.
