WATCH: Eden Park boxers compete at tournament
Eden Park Boxing Club fighters displayed their punching skills at a recent tournament.
Fighters from the Eden Park Boxing Club took their skills to an interclub boxing tournament in the Vaal.
Held on March 1, the tournament was organised by the Rust-Ter-Vaal Boxing Club.
The interclub boxing tournament was the first for the year, and it was hosted at the Roshnee Community Hall. Community members trickled in to watch the fighters trade punches.
Eden Park fighters displayed their punching skills to an unfamiliar audience, but that did not deter them from entertaining the attendees who cheered on while the bouts went on.
Eden Park Boxing Club chairperson Sydney Kok was present to support and watch his boys compete.

“I am very proud of these boys. They are the best, and with this kind of momentum, I am confident that our club is going to win medals and trophies this year.”
One of the club’s boxers is preparing to compete in the novice Gauteng championships.
“Jaden Beswick, who is among some of the best fighters at the club, is hard at work training for the upcoming novice Gauteng championships to be held in a couple of weeks’ time.
“We are appealing to local businesses and willing donors to sponsor our club and fighters with tracksuits and other boxing wear. Willing donors can call me on 074 947 1677,” added Kok.
