Please allow me to compliment our “Favorite Lokshin Paper” – Kathorus MAIL for the extensive coverage of the problems faced by parents of nyaope addicts in local communities.
I think the newspaper’s recent coverage and exposure will help galvanise society into action against this destructive drug which has broken families and separated children from their parents. Unless you are someone who is living with an addict son or a daughter, it is difficult to relate to the articles in the Kathorus MAIL about nyaope addicts and the problems faced by their families.
It is about time that all responsible members of the community around the townships of Kathorus came together and did something about the destruction nyaope and other drugs are causing to the youth and society in general.
What bothers me is the seeming reluctance of the police to deal with the drug problem in our townships once and for all. Instead, we see more young people in our communities being drawn into drugs and alcohol.
