Cop killings will lead to more crime
I hope there will be an inquest. If this was done deliberately, then drastic action will have to be taken against the officer responsible and against those who tried to cover up the crime.

I watched with anger and fear the video of a policeman being gunned down by his partner during a robbery at a Katlehong garage.
One thing I noticed was that our police officers lack the proper training to deal with these types of high-intensity crimes. And that something like this happened during a crime operation against heavily armed robbers makes me wonder how often our police officers get to deal with this type of situation.
Also, that the policeman’s death was initially reported by the police as having been caused by the robbers, when in fact it was one of his own who killed him, raises many more questions in the public’s mind.
I hope there will be an inquest. If this was done deliberately, then drastic action will have to be taken against the officer responsible and against those who tried to cover up the crime.
There is no doubt in my mind that even among the policemen and -women, there are those who do not belong on the force. I hope the SAPS’ criminal investigating body will take a long, hard look at this officer’s death.
