The men and women in blue of Alberton SAPS have committed to leaving no stone unturned in curbing crime in the Alberton community.

The Alberton North-based force has for years prided itself into calling off crime in the streets of Alberton. They do this by policing and guarding against crime in the community, working closely with community members and security companies.

According to Capt Manare Ramotshela, the spokesperson for Alberton SAPS, as a station they are committed to keeping the community safe.

“We want our community to feel safe and most of our duties become a success simply from the help we get from the Alberton community. We have a good working relationship with them judging from the number of arrests that we have made,” he said.

From January till September 13 the station has tirelessly and successfully made at least a total of 2 110 arrests within Alberton and surrounding areas.

Ramotshela who has worked for the station for four years, stated that as devoted SAPS members at times they go beyond the call of duty in serving the community.

“We make sure that we patrol the whole of Alberton in areas such as the R59, N12, N3 routes and the inner portion of our area.  “At times we patrol by foot with means of making sure that there is no crime in our area. We are taught to be vigilant,” he said.
