Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series’ first tuning package takes things further

German tuning firm Wheelsandmore is introducing the first tuning package for the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series.
Underdock centre-lock adapter system is what the tuning package is called and amps the GT Black Series’ look by adding forged rims with central locking.
The system comprises an aluminium-magnesium alloy central-locking nut that allows owners to switch wheels between cars without the need to change the whole hub.
The tuning firm’s forged 20-inch alloy wheels come with a twin five-spoke design and can be had in various colours. If you ask nicely, Wheelsandmore can paint them in any colour of your choice.
Under the bonnet is the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that has been tuned to deliver 588 kW and 870 Nm of torque – an increase from the standard model’s 537 kW and 800 Nm. The top speed has also been raised to 336 km/h from 325 km/h.
All this was made possible by updating the control unit.
With great power comes great responsibility hence the Wheelsandmore fitted carbon-ceramic disc brakes as well as special pads.
According to the firm, the upgraded brakes have a 50 per cent higher coefficient of friction than those that lurk in the stock model.
