Have your say on the electricity by-laws – CoE

The city’s initial electricity by-laws were approved and promulgated by the council resolution of April 2002.

The council of a municipality adopts by-laws to regulate the affairs and services within the jurisdiction of the municipality.

The City of Ekurhuleni supplies and distributes electricity to its customers in terms of its electricity by-laws.

The initial electricity by-laws were approved and promulgated by a council resolution of April 2002.

With so many years gone by and times and legislation changing, the city needs to update the existing electricity supply by-laws.

This will ensure that the city operates within the confines of relevant legislation.

Members of the public are invited to part-take in the public participation process to be conducted in Kempton Park on May 14 at the Esselen Park Hall and on May 19 in the Kempton Park Hall.
