The suspect has allegedly robbed two females from Esiphethweni section

The Tembisa police are appealing to members of the community help with information that can lead to the arrest of an alleged false prophet, who is supposedly going around telling people lies about their personal problems. In the process, he ends up stealing people’s money and their cell phones.

According to Tembisa SAPS spokesperson, Constable Tebogo Sesing, the suspect has allegedly robbed two females from Esiphethweni section. He allegedly stole their cell phones after telling them that one of the victims’ mother was sick.

“He further told them their personal problems and requested them to bring three cell phones so that he can give them their lucky numbers to win the Lotto. The victim gave the alleged prophet the cell phones. Later, he told them to walk down to a street, count to eight houses and return. When they did so, the victims found that the prophet was nowhere to be found,” he said.

Constable Sesing added that the prophet had also robbed one of the women of her identity book. “Is alleged by the victims that the cell phones are worth R11 250. For more information about his whereabouts, contact the police station or sms or dial the emergency number 0860 010 111.
