New evangelist commissioned
The Methodist Church of Southern Africa in Tembisa has commissioned a new evangelist, Mr Moeketji Aaron Sebaka, from its mission-based training course.

The commissioning was recently held at one of the Methodist Church branches in Mashemong section, Tembisa.
Leading the service were Bishop of the District, Mr Anderson and Superintendent Rev Morokane, along with other ministers.
The group laid their hands on Mr Sebaka, while the Bishop lead by a silent prayer.
Other prominent leaders from the church stood on the platform to show their support for Mr Sebaka.
Mr Sebaka was awarded three certificates for the completion of a two year Bible Women and Evangelists training course that was held at the Mosukelekwa circuit in Emerlo.
Reflecting on his experience, Sebaka said he enjoyed leading people to faith.
“We did door-to-door meetings, encouraging people to read the Word of God and to pray. We also visited schools, old age homes, home-based care and hospitals. I am now ready to go out and tell people about God in my community. People should have a strong faith so that they can win every obstacles they encounter,” he said.
Mr Sebaka added that he is aiming to make a difference in communities by helping those who have lost hope.
“I believe to become an evangelist is a calling. People have problems and need spiritual healing. I would be proud to see young people coming to faith, being baptised and then going on to serve in their communities as young leaders,” said Mr Sebaka.
Bishop Anderson encouraged Mr Sebaka to follow the examples of faithfulness and independence, wherever his ministries took him.
