Discontent in KPFC old boys football camp
The big question here is, do the KOBS need to sign a few more players to strengthen the squad?

THE Kempton Old Boys (KOBS) have had a slow start to the season with a 1-1 draw against Modderfontein Football Club on Thursday night.
Questions have been raised about the form of the once high flying KOBS as to what is the reason for their current slump, said Basil Botha, chairman of Kempton Park Football Club.
“There is a rumour doing the rounds that there is discontent in the camp with coach Trevor Botha not present at the game. The fact that he was spotted at the Cape Town Athlone Stadium for a local PSL game just added fuel to the fire that there was growing divide between coach and players. When quizzed by me on the subject, Trevor said he had no comment,” Basil Botha said.
“An inside source has revealed that the team is under some stress with the news that former KOB player Jarred Ramsay is set to leave for the UK. This could be influencing their performance as they all thought they would be rid of him before month end but now he is staying on for another two weeks, much to the disappointment of many in the squad, placing a heavy cloud over players’ moods.”
Stand in coaches Graeme Rutherford and Tyrone Young were happy with the overall performance of the team and welcomed back Frank Williams in the starting line up with a man of the match performance at left back.
“Bookies revealed that if the KOBS continued on this current form there was no doubt that current under fire coach Botha would have to be content with a place on the bench as a player under a new coach. Odds are 3/5 on the Bear being sacked by December 2016,” Basil Botha said.
“The big question here is, do the KOBS need to sign a few more players to strengthen the squad while the transfer window is still open or is the squad deep enough to sustain them for this half of the season?”
