Bikers ride for the Salvation Army
Motorcyclists from all over visited the Salvation Army to donate bags full of toys and clothes.

Motorcyclists from all over the West Rand came together for a Bikers Day celebration at the Salvation Army on 2 June.
The annual bikers day saw over two hundred motorcyclists visiting the Krugersdorp Salvation Army to drop off donations and show their support.
The Salvation Army has been a household name in charity work and is a residential family care centre that provides a stepping stone for the destitute.
The day’s proceedings were opened with a prayer by Major Tersia Finn, who joined the bikers as they drove from Roodepoort to Krugersdorp.
The Salvation Army has enjoyed the support of various different motorcycle clubs on the West Rand for 10 years now.
“For the first time in ten years I led the pack, with my scooter,” boasts Major Tersia.
She also described the experience as amazing and unforgettable.
Tersia then opened her heart towards the bikers for all their support during the past ten years.

“Thank you for opening your hearts to the Salvation Army, we really do appreciate what you all have contributed through the years. Thank you to all the clubs that support us, we are really grateful.”
Guests enjoyed a performance by the Salvation Army’s Regional Band while they enjoyed good food from the available stalls, as well as a hot cup of coffee.
The Salvation Army received bags full of donations which consisted of clothes for young and old and toys for children.
“I am astounded by the support we get, God is good and we give him all the glory.”
