Fun in the sun
Join the Eagle Flight Ministries on the golf course to raise funds to assist patients with lupus.
Businesses are invited to join Eagle Flight Ministries (EFM) for a fun day out in the sun next month.
This non-profit organisation based in Krugersdorp West has a passion to assist patients with lupus, a chronic inflammatory disease that occurs when the body’s immune system attacks the tissues and organs.
Susan van der Walt, chairperson of EFM says in order to generate funds to provide better care for these patients they will have their annual Lupus Fund Raising Golf Day on 17 July at the Jackal Creek Golf Course.
“We have approximately 280 000 lupus sufferers in South Africa alone. We aim to raise funds to enable us to run Lupus Awareness Campaigns to educate the general public about the disease and to assist patients financially as well as with counselling and general support.”
She says there will be lots of great prizes to be won on the day.
“After the golf and awards we will be auctioning off some sports memorabilia and other goods,” she says.
Van der Walt says they need sponsors for the day.
“Any prizes or items we can put on auction would be highly appreciated.”
