Fashion dos and don’ts we learned from celebs

We all have our go-to black dress, so why not get a red dress to mix things up like Boity Thulo or Rihanna?

When it comes to fashion, celebs definitely know how to walk the walk. From being red carpet ready to going to the gym or running errands, A-listers usually look good.

But then sometimes they get it horribly wrong.

Check out our celeb style dos and don’ts.

Do pair a slogan tee with jeans

A good pair of jeans can be dressed up or down and this recent style do is one of our favourites. Not only does it look chic but it is practical too. Tuck in your top like Victoria Beckham or leave it loose like Bonang Matheba.

Bonang, like Posh, recently released her own range of T-shirts.

Do dress from head to toe in black or white

While colour blocking and monochrome outfits are still on trend, take notes from Beyoncé by wearing all white or from Pearl Thusi by going back to black.

The key to pulling off this look is to have matching accessories. And don’t be afraid to mix different fabrics with the same colour.

Do ditch the LBD for a red dress

While we all have our go-to black dress, why not get a red dress to mix things up? Just like the trusted LBD, this look works well for winter or summer dresses.

Any design works in red so you can be as classic or couture as you like.

Don’t wear something just because it is in fashion

While this outfit may be Yeezy, short tights and a moon bag will never stand the test of time even if Kim Kardashian wears it.

Don’t wear all of your favourite items of clothing in one outfit

While some may call this fashion, we call it WTF. Katy Perry is known for her over the top looks, but this makes no sense.
