NTT Toyota receives a makeover
"To my 40 wonderful staff members - you are truly magnificent! Throughout the whole process, the production has not gone down and that says a lot about the people of NTT Toyota Barberton," said Duvenage.

BARBERTON – Everyone knows that over time, things start to fray at the seams. This is also true for a business premises, which is why giving an existing business a facelift is such a positive step.
The NTT Toyota Barberton building has been around for five years. Upgrading and renovating on a regular basis, however, is part and parcel of every NTT Toyota franchise in South Africa.
Dealerships have to adhere to certain standards and these rules need to be adhered to without exception.
During September, and seemingly overnight, Barbertonians witnessed a huge commotion at NTT’s premises when the current building was subjected to a makeover.
Over the next couple of months, the staff had to work in a dusty environment and had to cope with the overwhelming noise of building contractors who were turning the premises upside down.
Most of the work was completed last week. The used-vehicle showroom, which previously had an open front towards Crown Street, has been closed up with glass from top to bottom and transformed into a luxury showroom.
This also added a few square metres of floor space to the already large room. On the other side, in the showroom for new cars that faces the corner of Crown and General streets, construction is still continuing on the offices.
The downstairs ladies and men’s rooms also received a makeover and now boasts tiles in mainly vibrant reds and showy white basins.
Upstairs, the entertainment area has also been closed in with glass. It has also been fitted with new tiles and now also boasts a new braai area. This will ensure that functions can now be held in style and comfort, even during the rainy season.
Another addition, at the entrance in General Street, is a huge carport. Where vehicles due for services previously had to be parked in the hot sun, there are now ample covered parking.
Dealer principal, Duwies Duvenage said everyone was very excited about the new working environment and very relieved that most of the crucial construction work had been completed. “I wish to thank Mike Buyskes Building Contractors, all the subcontractors who were involved as well as a special thank you to the man who headed the project, Tony Petrig.
“To my 40 wonderful staff members – you are truly magnificent! Throughout the whole process, the production has not gone down and that says a lot about the people of NTT Toyota Barberton,” said Duvenage.
On December 13, building work will stop due to the annual holiday. Only touch-ups will have to be done early in the new year.
Duvenage invited Barbertonians to come and view the changes they’ve made or just to pop in for a cup of coffee.
