Tractor trip to raise money for rhino

New Holland South Africa will drive a tractor with a trailer with a replica of a rhino as its cargo from Cape Town to Entabeni, Mookgopong over a period of 36 days.

NELSPRUIT – The trip will consist of a route which will include 27 towns and cities through South Africa.

The kilometres travelled total about 2 630, which will be sold at a price of R100 each. Funds will go toward The Rhino Orphanage (www.therhinoorphanage.co.za).

On August 29 to 30, the tractor will travel through the Lowveld. Laeveld Trekkers is adding its weight to the awareness campaign with a fund-raising evening at Umbali Events on August 28. Interested parties can book a table at R3 500.

This will include a three-course dinner prepared by Umbali, together with entertainment from Karin Ferreira and Ferdinand Rabie.
