Make all living things purr at Pro-Life this Valentine’s Day

Show some love for our four-pawed companions at Pro-Life Pet Rescue’s kennels this Saturday. The staff of the organisation has arranged a fun-filled day of petting, playing and spoiling the animals, all in the name of love.
“We have arranged for everyone who attends to receive a cap, as well as a packet of biscuits with which to spoil the animals,” says Pro-Life CEO, Ms Karin Erasmus. “There will be treats and items for sale on the day, too.”
Erasmus says even if volunteers cannot make it to the event, they can still donate canned food, treats, blankets or money toward the shelter. They are in desperate need of funds to treat and care for all the animals being left on their doorstep.
“We have recently been told that out kennels are too full and that we need to built another pen,” she says. “It costs about R15 000 to do so and we do not have that amount of money.”
The shelter has also been left with a young dog that had been severely burnt and left at a veterinarian last week. Erasmus says the canine is doing much better but bills and medication costs are reaching critical heights.
Any donation is welcome. Those who want to make a difference in an animal’s life can contact Erasmus directly on 060-672-6837 or make a deposit to:
