Ladies treated to hair-health workshop at Gary Rom Crossings

Women at the workshop had the opportunity to learn more about haircare and styling while also making a contribution to a worthy cause.

MBOMBELA – Gary Rom Crossings recently hosted a hair-health workshop.

Michelle van der Westhuizen, Marietha Roos, Ilona van Niekerk, Annemarie Swanepoel and Janita Steenkamp enjoying the workshop.

As a part of the My Hair Cares campaign, those attending could purchase GHD stylers or paddle brushes. According to Candice van Zyl,R100 of every styler purchased and R10 of each paddle brush would be donated to PinkDrive to aid it in its fight against breast cancer.

Women participating in the workshop were divided into three groups. Each group progressed through three workstations. At the first, senior educator for the use of GHD tools, Andrew Young, illustrated how to properly use the haircare tools. At the second station, Gary Rom stylist, JP Laubscher discussed hair health and the various haircare tools required.At the third, Gary Rom stylist, Cecile du Plessis dealt with the topic of hair colouration and how to choose the correct colour.

Throughout the event, participants had the opportunity to win various prizes, including bags and products and pedicure packages, through lucky draws.
