UPDATE | Search for missing aircraft continues

Rescue teams hope for better weather conditions to continue their operation.

A Cessna 206 aircraft has not yet been found after it went missing shortly after take-off yesterday (October 16). Rescue efforts were hampered by severe weather conditions after teams were mobilised.

They are hoping for better conditions to continue their search near the Barberton Nature Reserve today.

The aircraft was heading to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport when it was reported missing after it lost signal. It departed from King Mswati III International Airport in Eswatini at 13:23 and lost signal at 13:37.
