Attempts by investigators, trauma counsellors and the Middelburg Observer to get hold of the woman accusing a prominent ANC councillor of alleged kidnapping, starvation and torture, have been unsuccessful since the woman supposedly escaped from her involuntary incarceration on Monday night.
