Blue Hills hosts Sisters with Blisters walk

BLUE HILLS - Thousands of women, men, children and pets will take part in the 8th annual Sisters with Blisters walk which takes places on 23 November in Kyalami.

The walk, which starts at the Blue Hills Country and Equestrian Estate, marks the start of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence where participants will put their best foot forward to raise funds for Sonke Gender Justice Network, and Women and Men against Child abuse groups.

Celebrities such as the Parlotones, Willem Botha, Johannes Mapalakanye, MoniQue, Heinz Winkler, Zelda le Grange and many more will be there to entertain.

The 4km walk with dogs starts at 8.30am. The 4km walk without dogs begins at 9.30am, and the 8km at 7.30am.

There will be no road closures in the area but there will be six traffic officers on the R55 and main entrance, the R55 and secondary entrance, as well as on the R55 and Arthur Road.

Ladies who want to wear high heels for the walk are encouraged to do so.

Online registration for the event closes at midnight on 20 November.
