This vibrant monthly market provides a much-needed platform for talented vendors to showcase their locally made goods.

For the past two years, the Mbombela Farmers Market has been a vibrant hub where local businesses and artists converge to showcase their incredible work.
The last instalment of the market for 2023 took place at the Lowveld Botanical Garden on December 17, with arts and crafts, food and music galore from DJs and vocalists such as Skhumba Music, Nelly and Nkosana Mowale.
Every month this market provides a much-needed platform for the talented artists and informal vendors of the communities in Nsikazi.

The founder, Mmabakwena Nxumalo, said the turnout was amazing and the support from various communities is highly notable and appreciated. “Despite its remarkable impact in the creative and entertainment industry, the market has been paving a way without the support of relevant stakeholders who align with its mission.”
She said amid the colourful stalls and the lively hub of creativity, it has become a beacon of local talent, showcasing the ingenuity and craftsmanship that defines communities. “We also call on those who share its vision to come forward and lend their support. With the right partnerships, the market can further amplify the voices of local businesses and artists, contributing to the economic and cultural vibrancy of our community.”
