Murder accused in Bruwer case denied bail in Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court

Salela hails from Tsolo in the Eastern Cape and approached police there on June 19, claiming that he had knowledge of Bruwer’s murder, Lowvelder reports.

He was transported to Mbombela and has been held in custody since then. He has been in and out of court, seeking bail.

His bid to secure bail was granted a final blow as magistrate Susan Monaledi denied his application.

The matter was postponed to October 19.
