The Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) has advised that it is aware of a video doing the rounds on social media that shows a girl learner punching a boy learner, allegedly at a school, Randfontein Herald reports.
Steve Mabona, the GDE spokesperson, confirmed to the media on Thursday that the GDE is looking into the matter and is aware of the video, but could not confirm the school’s name at this stage.
However, the media did attempt to contact the school allegedly involved on several occasions, without any success.
Meanwhile, residents are outraged and want answers.
