Shop owner shot in Campus Square robbery

The owner of a shop at the Campus Square shopping centre in Auckland Park, Johannesburg was grazed by a bullet during an armed robbery earlier today.

An eyewitness speaking on condition of anonymity explained the incident occurred at about 12.45pm near the Woolworths entrance. He added the owner was “grazed” by the bullet and would be fine, Northcliff-Melville Times reported.

The robbers allegedly fled after robbing HMS jewellery store.

According to Jacaranda News, police have launched a search for the three suspects.

Updates to follow.

Just four days ago, it was believed an armed robbery occurred at the centre, but centre management and Brixton Police Station commander Colonel Mitchell Jones confirmed there had been no robbery.
