VIDEO: Suspects leisurely rob house
CCTV footage shows three house robbers brazenly jumping over a wall into a home in Helderkruin, on Koedoebessie Street, in Roodepoort, Gauteng.
In the footage captured on July 15 at about 1pm, the three suspects armed with metal pipes and wooden sticks scaled past the wall and casually walked past two German Shepherds. They then proceeded into the house, where they reportedly tied up the domestic worker in the main bedroom,Roodepoort Record reported.
The suspects are seen walking around the house relaxed and picking out expensive items including R5 000 worth of alcohol, expensive electronic appliances and expensive jewellery from the safe.
The homeowner, Shaun Govender said his insurance company estimated the cost of the stolen goods to be about R240 000.

“We moved in here 10 months ago thinking it is a nice and safe neighbourhood. Quiet and safe, but now this has become a high-risk street,” Govender said.
Govender has offered a reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspects. Anyone with information can call Roodepoort Police Station using Case Number 367-07-15 as a reference.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Nonhlanhla Khumalo said a case of house robbery has been opened and no arrests have been made.
In a separate incident, CCTV footage emerged showing three suspects breaking into a house in Dalview, Brakpan, on the East Rand, in May.
In the video, captured at about 2.45am last Friday, the suspects are seen looking through the window of the house before entering. Shortly afterwards, the suspects are seen stealing clothes, speakers and other items before climbing the wall.
