With the international rugby season on a break, Springboks captain Siya Kolisi has taken a well-earned breather to visit a school that offered the national team strong support during The Rugby Championship.
The two-time Rugby World Cup winner on Monday returned to Cape Town and visited Wynberg Boys’ High School, where earlier this year, the school collaborated with MTN to perform the now-iconic ‘Hoya, Hoya!’ war cry.

The video of the boys’ performance went viral and has been one of the most popular videos on TikTok and Instagram.
Kolisi referenced the video after the Springboks’ 18-12 win over New Zealand in Cape Town, thanking the local supporters for standing by the team.
During his visit, Kolisi said: “We watched your video. We love you so much, and it encourages us a lot. The fact that the way we played inspired you to do something like this really motivates us. So, honestly, anything is possible.
“And this vibe is incredible, ouens (slang for guys); it’s lekker, yoh! I wish I played in front of a vibe like this. Thank you, we appreciate you, and wish you all the best for the rest of the year.”
Although the Springboks are on a short break, their season isn’t over yet, as they’re set to face Scotland, England, and Wales in their November tour.
