Naked body found in Pretoria stream

The naked body of a man has been discovered in a Pretoria East stream.

Police discovered the body on the corner of Solomon Mahlangu Drive and Delfi Avenue at about noon on Tuesday, Rekord East reported.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Dave Miller said the man appeared to be in his 30s.

“The cause of his death is still unknown, and an inquest docket has been opened,” Miller said.

In a similar incident, the body of an unidentified man was discovered last month in Centurion Lakeby a security guard who had been patrolling the area.

It is believed the man had died of natural causes. However, the possibility of foul play was being investigated by police.

A few days later, the naked body of an elderly man believed to be homeless was discovered near the Seeff Properties office in Doringkloof, Centurion.

An eyewitness allegedly found the naked man lying in a field after two men had discovered the body earlier and informed him about it.

It was reported no foul play was suspected, and that the man died of natural causes.
