She was then diagnosed with listeriosis, and died on Saturday evening

A close friend, said Clack had two children and a husband whom she married only in August.

Listeriosis is a food-borne disease that recently broke out nationally, hitting Gauteng the worst.

Speaking at a media briefing earlier this month, Minister of Health Aaron Motswaledi said approximately 557 cases had been reported while 36 people had already died of the disease with Gauteng province reporting 62% of the cases.

The disease was associated with a wide variety of foods, including dairy, meat, vegetables, fruit, and ready-to-eat products.

South Africans were urged to wash their hands and keep food at safe temperatures.
