VIDEO: East Rand armed robbery
CCTV footage has emerged showing an armed robbery at a supermarket in Boksburg, on the East Rand.
In the footage posted on the Intelligence Bureau SA Facebook page, an unknown number of suspects are seen in an unnamed supermarket firing shots towards the counter.
One of the suspects is seen dragging out the teller and seemingly taking money from the till box. Meanwhile, a young child, holding a ball and and a packet of chips, is seen passing by, seemingly oblivious to the robbery taking place.

Shortly afterwards, one of the suspects can be seen kicking the teller before fleeing the scene.
The robbery is said to have taken place on July 23, but the exact location is not yet clear.
In a separate incident, CCTV footage emerged showing a gang of heavily armed men robbing a businessman and firing at community police members in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.
The incident took place on May 21. In the video, the attackers, armed with pistols and assault rifles, confront and assault businessman Ismail Dhoda in the driveway of his Mountain Rise home.
