VIDEO: Robber hits Witbank firm
Video footage has surfaced showing a robber sliding on the floor of a Witbank auditing firm in an apparent robbery.
The footage was recorded at the Venter de Jager Auditors offices at about 2.22am on Sunday,Witbank News reported.
Security services responded to the break-in and confronted the robber, who had taken a bag containing keys to other offices.
A chase followed, and the suspect managed to escape over an electric fence, leaving behind the bag containing the keys.
A case of burglary is under investigation. No arrests were made.
In December, CCTV footage emerged showing a would-be robber falling through the ceiling of Crossings Spar in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.
The man is seen falling from the ceiling in front of the tobacconist kiosk in the early hours of the morning and being immediately knocked unconscious by the impact.
A female baker, who was working the night shift in the shop’s bakery, found the unconscious burglar on the floor and ran to open the door for security services.
Police arrived shortly after and took the man into custody.
