Witbank man hijacked at home

A man was hijacked at his home in Witbank after being approached by strangers asking for directions.

The suspects who approached the man were driving a Nissan Juke, Witbank News reported.

After giving them directions, the man entered his vehicle and remotely opened his gate.

The five suspects attacked the man and restrained him by binding his hands. They left him inside his home and fled the scene with his black VW Golf GTI 6.

With the aid of Witbank911, the five suspects were apprehended on the same day and taken into police custody.

In a separate incident, video footage shows a Centurion resident in Gauteng being hijacked after arriving at home.

The video footage, uploaded by Crime Watch, shows the Clubview resident pulling into his/her driveway, followed by three men entering the premises in August last year.

The men are later seen leaving the premises in the stolen vehicle.
