Jaguar bids farewell to the combustion engine

As part of the shift towards electric vehicle mobility, Jaguar recently announced the discontinuation of certain combustion engine models.

The limited-edition Jaguar F-Type ZP, inspired by the iconic 1960s racing E-types, marks the end of Jaguar’s internal combustion sports car era in 2024. Only 150 units featuring a 423kW supercharged petrol V8, curated interior and exterior details by SV Bespoke will be produced.

Only two of these cars have been allocated for the South African market.

Rawdon Glover, the managing director of Jaguar, says, “As Jaguar embarks on the boldest transformation in its history, to become a modern luxury all-electric brand from 2025, this is an unrepeatable celebration of Jaguar’s internal combustion sports car provenance.”
