Protect your car and the property inside

Remote locking is convenient, but it can be exploited by thieves using remote jammers. These devices block the signal between your car key and the vehicle, preventing it from locking.

Imagine someone talking and another person listening. Now imagine a loud noise system behind the speaker. The listener can’t hear the speaker, only the noise. Similarly, the jammer overpowers the car’s ability to “hear” the lock signal from your key fob.

According to Charnel Hattingh, Fidelity Services Group, group head of marketing and communications, remote jamming is nothing new, but it’s not getting old for criminals either. It is on the increase.

Beyond car theft

Remote jamming isn’t limited to car theft. Criminals use it for break-ins, hijackings, and stealing cargo. They target public areas where victims are less vigilant.

Minimise your risk

Stay vigilant, stay safe

Remote jamming is a growing threat. Taking precautions and being aware of your surroundings can significantly reduce your risk of theft. Remember, security is a habit, not a chore.
