Fiat Celebrates 125 years of growth

FIAT is marking its 125th anniversary with strong performance, solidifying its position as Stellantis’s leading brand.

With over 660 200 units sold globally, Fiat has achieved a 2.2% increase compared to the same period in 2023. This positive trajectory has fuelled the brand’s drive for innovation and future growth.

A new chapter for Fiat

As Fiat enters its next chapter, it focuses on three key pillars: Italian design, global platforms and local relevance. The upcoming Fiat Grande Panda is the first model to embody this strategy, marking the brand’s return to the global mainstream.

To further strengthen its electrified offering, Fiat will launch the new Fiat 500 Hybrid, produced at the Mirafiori plant in Turin. The brand is also developing new SUV and fastback models set to be released in the coming years.

Global expansion and market leadership

Fiat’s growth extends across multiple regions. In North America, sales surged by 24% driven by the Fiat 500e, while the MEA region saw a 7.6% rise. Asia-Pacific grew by 5% and South America experienced a 2.3% increase.

Fiat solidified its leadership in South America with a 14% market share, particularly excelling in Brazil with a 20.4% share. The brand also dominates in Italy and Turkey, with market shares of 12.3% and 12.3% respectively.

European dominance and electrification

In Europe, Fiat has secured its market dominance, especially in Italy, which holds a 10.8% market share. The Panda remains the best-selling vehicle, while the Fiat 500 hybrid holds second in the A segment.

Fiat is committed to electrification, offering BEV or hybrid powertrains with automatic transmissions in all new and future models. This strategy aligns with the brand’s focus on environmental sustainability and customer satisfaction.

Fiat Professional: Driving growth

Fiat Professional also achieved growth, with global sales surging by 15%. The brand leads the LCV department in Italy with a 24.2% market share and is a leader in the BEV segment.

Models like the Ducato, Doblò and Scudo have been renewed with advanced technology and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems features, while the launch of the Fiat Titano pick-up in Brazil and Algeria has contributed to the brand’s overall success.

As Fiat celebrates 125 years, its commitment to innovation, sustainability and customer satisfaction positions the brand for continued growth and success in the global automotive market.
