Lexus NX 450h+: A new benchmark in plug-in hybrid luxury

Lexus has expanded its electrified SUV range by introducing the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid.

Lexus utilised 15 years of hybrid expertise to build the NX 450h+, which sets a new standard for performance and efficiency in the luxury SUV segment.

At the heart of the NX 450h+ is a 2.5-litre hybrid Atkinson cycle engine with a powerful electric motor system. This combination delivers a potent 227kW output, propelling the SUV from 0-100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds. Despite its impressive performance, the NX 450h+ boasts exceptional fuel economy and low CO2 emissions, thanks in part to its 18.1 kWh battery that offers an electric-only range of up to 66.5km.

Lexus has carefully engineered the NX 450h+ to maximise efficiency without compromising practicality. The battery is cleverly integrated into the vehicle’s platform, preserving both interior space and load capacity. The SUV also features a generous 55-litre fuel tank, ensuring long-distance capability.

Advanced technology and driving experience

The NX 450h+ offers multiple driving modes to suit different conditions and preferences. EV mode prioritises electric power, while Auto EV/HV intelligently balances electric and petrol power. For those seeking a sportier experience, sport and sport S+ modes are available.

Beyond its powertrain, the NX 450h+ impresses with its luxurious interior and advanced technology. A 14-inch touchscreen, voice recognition, and a comprehensive suite of safety features enhance the driving experience. The F SPORT variant adds sporty styling and performance-oriented enhancements.

A sustainable future

Lexus is committed to sustainable mobility, and the NX 450h+ is a testament to this commitment. By offering a compelling combination of performance, efficiency, and luxury, the NX 450h+ represents a significant step forward in the evolution of electric vehicles.

With its exceptional range, low emissions, and refined driving dynamics, the Lexus NX 450h+ is poised to redefine the luxury SUV segment.
