Boks to tackle All Blacks at Eden Park

With the Boks’ last win at Eden Park in 1937, they will go full steam ahead to secure victory against the All Blacks next September.

The Springboks will face the All Blacks in Auckland and Wellington in the 2025 Rugby Championship, with New Zealand Rugby confirming the Kiwis’ home Tests for next year.

The world champions are set to face their old rivals on September 6 at Eden Park, where the All Blacks are unbeaten in 50 Tests. South Africa’s last win at Eden Park was in 1937.

It will be the first of two consecutive Tests between the old rivals in New Zealand in 2025, with the second meeting a week later at Wellington’s Sky Stadium on September 13.

Rassie Erasmus has four consecutive victories over the All Blacks, including their triumph in the 2023 Rugby World Cup final, yet have played just once in New Zealand since 2019 a 35-20 defeat at Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland.

The All Blacks’ 2025 schedule also includes a three-Test July series against France at home and Freedom Cup fixtures in August against Argentina, with those matches likely set for Mendoza and Buenos Aires.

The Rugby Championship for Scott Robertson’s charges concludes with back-to-back clashes against the Boks, followed by a Bledisloe Cup Test against Australia at Eden Park on September 27.
