The national federation said George, who was banned for two years in December 2012, had made a successful application to the SA Institute for Drug-Free Sport (Saids) for a two-month reduction in his sentence. “The panel has considered the application and has, under the provisions of the Saids rules, determined that a two-month reduction be granted in respect of the sanction imposed,” CSA said in a statement. George, 38, is a former Olympian and national championships medallist. He admitted to taking EPO after he failed an out-of-competition test in August 2012.
