The ANCWL president has since been forced to delete her Twitter account following the uproar.

Dlamini deleted her account after an eyebrow-raising tweet about the “alarming” and “shocking” state of black people in South Africa and the continent, who refuse to accept President Jacob Zuma’s reparation attempts regarding the undue security upgrades made to his Nkandla homestead.

ANC Women’s League president Dlamini tweeted: “Hey it is so alarming and shocking that blacks and Africans refuse to accept apologies and implementation of corrective measures by President.”

This followed calls by the EFF and DA to investigate how Zuma acquired the R7.8 million home loan from VBS Mutual Bank to pay the state for nonsecurity upgrades to his private home.

On Tuesday, the Twitterati throngs took a shot at Dlamini for her defence of reappointed SAA chairperson Dudu Myeni when she protested over EFF leader Julius Malema calling Myeni “Dudu Myeni Zuma”.

Dlamini took exception at Malema’s insistence, saying: “He has to stop or withdraw.”

Malema had several unflattering things to say about Myeni, listing her faults and alleging her staff had become demoralised, that she had failed to issue financial statements and her leadership left much to be desired since she was close to the president and did not have a proven track record.

In addition, the EFF refused to be addressed by Zuma in parliament, who they have labelled a criminal because of the Nkandla saga and staged a walkout.

While Malema and the EFF left Parliament following their outburst, Dlamini was clearly not impressed, as she further took her grievances on how South Africans’ refuse to accept Zuma’s apology to Twitter.

A screengrab was captured by journalist Ranjeni Munusamy before Dlamini deleted the tweet and her account.
