The bodies of two cricket coaches were discovered on Thursday morning in what appears to be a double murder.
Two other victims were assaulted and one claimed he was also drugged.
The bodies were discovered at a clubhouse at the Main Cricket Stadium, 19th Avenue in Laudium, west of Pretoria.
Police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe said a community member, Umar Assad, discovered the scene when he practiced cricket in the morning with the victims.
“He informed the security guards who contacted the police at 07:00 this morning,” she said.
According to Selepe the victims stay at the stadium, where they share two rooms.
“In one of the rooms two males (aged 27) were found, and they had been severely assaulted. They were able to walk and was taken to hospital for treatment.
“In the men’s bathroom, the bodies of the two coaches were found. One was 24-years old,” Selepe said.
She said nothing was stolen from the scene and the motive is unknown at this stage of the investigation.
